חברים יקרים,
ביוני שנה שעברה נפגשנו כולנו במלון מריוט בלונדון. התרגשנו לשמוע על פעילות העמותה, לראות את הסרט שסיפר את סיפור חייה המורכב של טליה רובין ולשמוע את רוני וטליה שרות ביחד את 'לו יהי'. אנחנו שמחנו והתרגשנו מהנוכחות ומההיענות שלכם לבוא לערב ולתרום מזמנכם ומכספכם למען ילדי העמותה. אנחנו יודעים שאתם מקבלים פניות ובקשות רבות לתרומה, והעובדה שהתגייסתם לעזור לילדי שמחה לילד אינה מובנת מאליה.

בערב המופלא בשנה שעברה גייסנו 97,000 פאונד, אשר הועברו ישירות לפעילות ילדי העמותה. בין היתר שימש הכסף שתרמתם לפתיחת סניף חדש של שמחה לילד בדרום. התחלנו לפעול במחלקות הילדים בבית חולים סורוקה בבאר שבע ובשנתיים הקרובות מתוכננות להיפתח 4 קבוצות חונכות חדשות בפריפריה הדרומית, במטרה לתת מענה לילדי האזור המתמודדים עם מוגבלויות ומחלות קשות. בנוסף, בעזרת תרומותיכם הגדלנו את תקציב מחנה החורף, מה שאפשר לקיים יום נוסף של טיול שטח לילדי העמותה. כ-60 בני נוער, המתמודדים עם מוגבלות פיזית ומחלות קשות, יחד עם למעלה מ-100 מתנדבים יצאו למחנה אתגרי במדבר, שכלל לינה בתנאי שדה ומסלול בשטח. אתם מוזמנים לצפות בסרטון "מסע מרגש: ארבעה ימים על גלגלים" ששודר בחדשות ערוץ 12 אשר מתאר את הנעשה ביום זה, כאמור, הרבה בזכותכם!

הסיבה שהצלחנו לעשות כל כך הרבה טוב עם הכסף שתרמתם נעוצה, בין היתר, בעובדה שבעמותה ישנם כ- 1,000 מתנדבים מסורים, המהווים מכפיל כוח משמעותי לערך שאנו נותנים לילדי העמותה. באמצעות תקציב לא גדול אנחנו מלווים כיום מאות ילדים ובני נוער בעלי מוגבלויות פיזיות קשות. אנחנו מקיימים פעילות פנאי והעשרה סדירה עבור למעלה מ 10,000 ילדים שמאושפזים בכ 50 מחלקות ילדים בכל רחבי הארץ, תומכים במשפחות הילדים ועוד. המטרה העיקרית שלנו היא להעניק לילדים כלים חברתיים ורגשיים על מנת שיוכלו לגדול ולהתפתח להיות אנשים עצמאיים ותורמים בחברה הישראלית.

בנוסף, העמותה המשיכה לגדול ולהתפתח במהלך השנה האחרונה. בין היתר נפתחו שתי קבוצות ילדים חדשות המונות כ-30 ילדים וילדות שהצטרפו למעגל הפעילות של העמותה. כמו כן, הוקם מרכז טיפולי למשפחה אשר מעניק טיפולים פרא-רפואיים לילדים החולים וטיפולים משלימים לבני משפחותיהם, לרבות קבוצת הורים, ליווי של עובדים סוציאליים ועוד.

הלוואי והיינו יכולים להעביר לכם באופן יותר מוחשי את התודה של ילדי העמותה לעזרתכם. אנחנו מבקשים במכתב קצר זה להעביר את תודתם ואת תודתנו ולקוות שתמשיכו ללוות אותנו ולעזור לנו להמשיך את העשייה למען ילדי העמותה.

נועה, שרון, אלינור ומיכל, בעזרתה המדהימה של טלי צמח, שוקדות בימים אלו על הפקת ערב התרמה נוסף לשמחה לילד. אם משהו מכם מעוניין לעזור להן לקחת חלק בארגון הערב, מאוד נשמח. בכל מקרה, אנא שמרו את ערב ה- 14.06.2020 פנוי. מתוכנן ערב מרגש ומהנה ואנחנו מחכים לו בהתרגשות.

Dear Friends:
Last June, we all met at the Marriott Hotel in London. It was our opportunity to give you a taste of what Simcha Layeled does and how it touches the lives of chronically ill children through the story of Talia Rubin which was followed by Roni and Talia’s moving performance of the song “Lu Yehi”.
We want to thank you again for your attendance at the gathering and for the substantial support that you gave towards the children of our organization. We are aware of the many requests that you receive for financial assistance from a wide range of charities, and do not take for granted your support.
Last year’s event raised a much needed £97,000 to benefit many activities that directly improve the quality of life of our children. Thanks to your contribution, we were able to open a new branch in the South of Israel and inaugurate many programs in the children’s wards of Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva. In the next year we plan to organize 4 new groups of kids as part of our Big Brother/Sister Program so that the disabled and chronically ill children in the south can take advantage of our programs.
Your assistance also helped us expand our Winter Camp program and enabled 60 of our children, along with 100 volunteer staff, to take advantage of a challenging desert experience. You are invited to view

The reason why we were able to do so much with your contributions is due to our incredible volunteer staff of over 1,000 young men and women. With a relatively modest budget, we support almost 350 physically challenged youngsters in the Big Brother/Sister Program and we run a wide range of hospital programs for 10,000 children in over 50 Children’s Wards throughout Israel. Our aim is to work with our charges to help them develop their capabilities so they can become contributing members of Israeli society.
We wish that we could express in a more tangible way the enormous appreciation of all our children and staff to you. We would like to use this opportunity to pass on their appreciation and out thanks to you and we hope that you will continue to support and help us to continue with our efforts to help the kids of Simcha Layeled.
